SEAI Heating Controls Grant — Up to €700
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers a grant of up to €700 towards the cost of upgrading your heating controls under the Better Energy Homes scheme. This grant is available to homeowners in properties built and occupied before 2011.
What the Grant Covers
- A heating system assessment by a registered contractor
- Supply and installation of a new heating controls package
- A programmable room thermostat
- Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) on all radiators (except the bathroom and the one in the same room as the thermostat)
- A time and temperature zone control for hot water (where applicable)
Eligibility
- The property must have been built and occupied before 2011
- The work must be carried out by an SEAI registered contractor
- Grant approval must be obtained before any work begins
- The property must have a working central heating system
